T-SHIRTS THAT SPEAK OUT!

About the shirts

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch without doing anything!

Albert Einstein

This quote by Albert Einstein hits the nail on the head as far as I am concerned. Humanity is in a bizarre time. A time when many things are converging. A time when, because of our behaviour and the way we have treated our life resources over the past 200 years, we are facing major climate changes. Changes that can no longer be stopped or reversed. Our task is to mitigate and anticipate!

The rich

At the same time, we see that a relatively small group of extremely rich strives for total control and power over really everything and everyone. This club of extreme rich make money in all major industries. They are the major shareholders in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, mobility industry, control the banking system, and more. But above all, they are big players in the arms industry. And what do all industries need? Right, raw materials and energy. Energy mostly derived from fossil fuels.

Power and control

They do not shy away from any means to achieve their goals. Don’t care about nationality, race, creed or political affiliation. Or about humanity or the environment! They are driven by the urge for power and control and are addicted to money and property. Their humanity has been completely taken over by vanity and self-glorification. Their insatiable drive for more in the broadest sense of the word makes them blind to the destruction and destructiveness they cause. So blind that they fail to realise that sooner or later their descendants too will reap and eat the rotten fruits of this.

Making money

They have been creating tension, conflicts and wars all over the world for decades. Of course, in places where raw materials and/or fossil fuel can be mined. A very good revenue model. First you make outrageous money supplying weapons and then you have access to raw materials and fossil fuels at rock-bottom prices.

Globally, there are about 2,800 billionaires. That is a fraction of the world's population. The wealth of the top 10 billionaires is increasing by an average of $2.7 billion a day! More than 700 million people (9.2%) of the world's population live on $1.90 a day. They are in mortal danger daily because of extreme poverty!

But it is clearly not enough for this small group. You only have to follow the news to see that WW3 is clearly being pushed. Just go through history: the same war rhetoric, propaganda and fear creation. The enemy enters the living room daily. Talk shows and current affairs programmes feature ‘highly decorated and distinguished’ army officers or so-called ‘experts’ as guests, proclaiming that we are in danger and that our pensions and tax money should go to ‘defence’.

No money for education, healthcare, fighting poverty, promoting equity or innovation in environmental issues. But billions for arms and the military!

Observant citizens may have noticed that driving towards, and planning for, WW3 did not start two years ago. Quite a few strategic moves preceded this. This was plotted and set in motion immediately after WW2. A plan that has been rolled out over decades, step by step, chess move by chess move, and now threatens to come to a destructive and bloody climax.

The enemy is not the one you are made afraid of or being warned about. The enemy is the one who talks fair in to you and warns you!

It all seems very complex, but it is all traceable to a out of control capitalist system. A global banking and tax system that ensures the extremely rich get even richer. A system that traps a large group of people in extreme poverty and makes them pay the price for the unlimited financial growth of the extremely rich. A system that allows a large part of us, the average citizen, to benefit just enough from the wealth and is addicted to consuming. But also made dependent on the loan and interest system. Something that makes us paralysed and docile; an easy prey for manipulation and sowing fear.

A saying used by the extremely rich: “Treat citizens like mushrooms, keep them in the dark and feed them bullshit!” A modern version of: “Give them bread and games!”

From an early age, we are played with, influenced and, above all, made consumers. Made addicted to stuff, food and holidays. And led to the banks’ loan and interest system

Concerns like Coca Cola and McDonalds focus their advertisements mainly on children. These brands, beer brands, Apple, TUI and more, put over a third (35% on average) of profits back into advertising. In the case of Coca Cola, that's 4 billion in advertising budget a year

Add to this the mind-numbing and empty TV programmes that fill and pollute our brains. This completes the circle. All this together makes us jaded and indifferent.

When I am in conversation with people, I often get the comment, ‘I try not to worry about that so much, you can't change it anyway.’

That’s just the way it is (changes)

Tupac Shakur

Recognisable? It makes me angry, frustrates me and gives me a feeling of vicarious shame. At the same time, I realise that the phrase ‘you can’t change it anyway’ conceals a great deal of powerlessness. Fear of rebelling and of change. Yet I am convinced that the majority of people really want things to be different and are concerned. Realising that things cannot go on like this. We all want a future for our descendants, don’t we? It has everything to do with misinformation, manipulation, indoctrination and, above all, fear. Fear of giving in and losing, the feeling of powerlessness.

However, the reality is: we citizens are not powerless. We are the majority. It is just that we are handing over power, letting ourselves be controlled and playrd by a very small group of ‘people’. When up to 60% of citizens worldwide stop cooperating with this out of control capitalist and corrupt system, it will stop!

I see that people need a push. A push towards a different path. A piece of awareness and gaining trust in, and compassion for, your fellow man. Regardless of nationality, race, creed or political affiliation. Just like those extremely rich. They can not cannot rule against unity.

“You may say I'm a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope some day you will join us, and the world could be as one.”

Yoko Ono & John Lennon

“Everyone is crying out for peace, only some are crying out for justice. There will be no peace until there is equal rights and justice!”

Peter Tosh

Dear people, like most of you, I am of average intelligence. What I proclaim is not new or original. I do not proclaim insights not yet seen and named by others. Many very great, intelligent thinkers and seers have gone before me. Even now, many voices can be found proclaiming this message each in their own unique way (see also the links on this website). I bring the message in my way. Through the T-shirts, I try and hope to make people think and raise awareness. To make a difference, I need your help. To make a change, we need each other!

I can't speak or think for you. but I do not want to look back on my life and find that I looked the other way, did not resist or speak out against injustice. That I did nothing to stop the depletion of our life resources

T-shirt categories

The shirts consist of different categories:

  • The sevendeadlysins (the Seven Deadly Sins);
  • Capitalism;
  • The shit system;
  • Propoganda/indoctrination;
  • Humanity;
  • Palestine;
  • Positivity;

The messages on the T-shirts are sometimes very direct, sometimes cryptic, sometimes cynical and sometimes there is a discrepancy in the message. Always aimed at provoking, provoking thought, provoking conversations and discussions. The messages on the T-shirts are usually confrontational.

I know the statements on the T-shirts chafe, irritate and evoke resistance in people. That too is good, honestly a bit the intention. You have to literally and figuratively carry the messages on the T-shirts, feeling the need to spread the messages. In addition, you must be in possession of a healthy dose of guts.
